The easiest and best way to elevate a basic garden salad is with homemade salad dressing! My Creamy Dill Salad Dressing recipe is fresh, flavorful, herby, and has a hint of tang - thanks to Greek yogurt and lemon juice! This recipe is made in under 10 minutes with only a mixing bowl and a whisk!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • up to 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients except for the water to a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Use a whisk to thoroughly mix the creamy dill dressing ingredients.  Mix until the dressing is smooth.
  3. Slowly add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, whisking after each addition.  Only add water if you want to thin out the dressing.  The more water you add the thinner the dressing will be.  If you want a nice and thick dip, then you might not want to add any water.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl or a glass jar.  You can enjoy this dressing immediately or store it in the fridge for 5-7 days.  Enjoy this delicious dressing and dip with your favorite salad, fresh vegetables, or as a topping for white fish!

Notes

  • Store leftover Creamy Dill Dressing in a glass, airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • You can enjoy this salad dressing and dip right away, however, letting it refrigerate for about 30 minutes before consuming will increase the intensity of the flavors as they blend together.
