Ingredients

  • 2 turkey tenderloins about 1.5 - 2 pounds total
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt see notes
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  •  Make the herb rub. In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and brown sugar. Drizzle in the olive oil and stir until a thick paste forms.
  • Prepare the turkey tenderloins. Remove the tenderloins from the package, rinse if they're packed in a brine or liquid, and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Season the turkey. Rub the herb paste all over both tenderloins, coating both sides evenly.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360° for 3 minutes.
  • Air fry. Place the tenderloins in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping once halfway through, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Rest and serve. Transfer the turkey to a cutting board and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Many turkey tenderloins are sold pre-brined or packed in a salt solution. Check the ingredients and nutrition label. If you see salt or sodium listed, your tenderloins are already seasoned, and you should not add more than what I call for in the recipe ingredients. If they’re not pre-brined, you can increase the kosher salt in the herb rub to 1 teaspoon.
  • Every air fryer cooks a little differently. This recipe is specifically for a basket-style air fryer. I use this Cosori Turbo Blaze Air Fryer, and so far, I love it. Keep in mind that different air fryer brands may cook tenderloins at different rates.
