  • Yield: 24 meatballs 1x

These delicious turkey meatballs are cheesy and packed with flavor!

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds ground turkey

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, basil pesto sauce and 1 egg.  Mix thoroughly to combine.
  3. In a large mixing bowl combine the bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  4. Add the ricotta cheese mixture and the ground turkey to the large mixing bowl containing the bread crumb mixture.  Using your hands or a large wooden spoon, thoroughly mix all ingredients together until combined.
  5. Roll the ground meat mixture into 24 golf ball sized balls.  Place the rolled meatballs onto a rimmed baking sheet containing a roasting/cooling rack.  Spray the roasting/cooling rack with cooking spray before placing the meatballs on top.
  6. Bake the meatballs in your preheated oven for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.

  • Don't forget to spray the roasting/cooling rack with cooking spray!  This will prevent your meatballs from sticking to the rack and make cleanup much easier.  You can also line your rimmed baking sheet with foil for even easier cleanup.
  • Make this recipe gluten free by swapping your wheat based bread crumbs for gluten free bread crumbs.
