    Grilled Chicken Marinade

Published: Jul 23, 2020 by Katie · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a comment.

Grilled chicken is a weekly staple in our household during the summer months. On hot, humid summer days when turning on the oven is absolutely not an option, firing up the grill is the way to go! However, taking the time the whip up a marinade and letting the the chicken soak up all of the sweet and salty flavors is a must. Honestly, I don't even see the point in grilling chicken if you aren't going to marinade it first. Mixing together a few kitchen staples will take your chicken from bland to mouth-watering in as little as 30 minutes.

    Grilled Chicken Marinade

    Ingredients

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

    ¼ cup soy sauce

    ¼ cup brown sugar

Juice of 1 large lemon or 2 small lemons

2 heaping tablespoons of your favorite seasoning blend - I regularly rotate between Simply Organic All Purpose Salt-Free Spice Right Blend, Field Day Organic Signature Grilling Seasoning and Mrs. Dash Salt-Free Original Seasoning Blend

Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth. Pour over 2 pounds of chicken breast or chicken thighs. I prefer boneless skinless chicken thighs. Marinate for at least 30 minutes. Grill on medium heat for 7-9 minutes on each side. Don't forget to shake off excess oil before putting on the grill.
